About Me
My name is Mahavir Singh Sandhu and I am a hard working, flexible, driven, and talented individual with a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for success. I studied information technology with a specialization in network security at NJIT. I have also taken courses in other related fields such as software development, Linux/Unix based scripting and systems administration, ethical hacking, and Cisco Routing and Security Essentials. I have earned a certificate from Cisco for outstanding achievement in the aforementioned course.
During my educational career, I have worked at a local Apple Store in Paramus, NJ since November of 2009. While studying and preparing to work in the industry, I developed the world renowned work ethic that Apple is known for. I learned how to multitask a wide variety of responsibilities, create innovative and unique solutions for my customers, develop strong troubleshooting and communication skills both written and verbal. In my spare time, I build websites for businesses in the area and for friends and family. I have also begun development of an iOS app for deployment within the year. I also enjoy building PCs, building and modifying joysticks for fighting games, and working out.
SKILLS
I made this website myself! No templates used! Just a good old fashioned text
editor with HTML5, Javascript and CSS! Sublime text if you're curious.
I've taken several system administrator courses in college and I have experience using
Bash in Linux environments, such as CentOS and Kali Linux.
Throughout my college classes, I've also learned how to use PHP, Python, and some Perl as well!
Last but not least, I'm comfortable developing in Java and C++. I'm currently learning Objective-C to build an app that will be available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store!
